HydraDICOM router
HydraDICOM is a DICOM router designed to be a broker in DICOM communications. HydraDICOM is deployed between PACS, modalities, RIS, diagnostic stations, WADO viewers and other systems, handling communications and providing integration and control mechanisms.
When is appropriate to use HydraDICOM?
Radiologic rings creation
With HydraDICOM you can easily interconnect a group of PACS of different providers in a transparent and standard way allowing to interact with them from an unified interface. Strategies of study replication, access route optimization and access control are easily managed. Any organization can build its own radiologic ring with HydraDICOM without making changes in its current infrastructure or in the established systems.
Medical test integration
HydraDICOM establish a managed access point to DICOM communications. It allows to manage flows that include PACS, DICOM viewers, modalities and RIS in a simple and centralized way. This allows to interconnect non-DICOM systems with DICOM systems in a simple and organized way. For example, search all the medical test of a patient in whole organization.
Non radiological images and tests dicomization
HydraDICOM provides web services (SOAP and/or raw HTTP 1.1) to dicomize non radiological medical tests like: images (JPG, PNG, TIFF, BMP), documents (PDF), videos (MPEG) and clinical data reports coded in CDA. With this feature you can easily include a form in your electronic history to dicomize and store studies in your PACS server.
Solve limitations of your DICOM devices
- Integrate a modality that doesn't set all tags required or that includes some invalid tags.
- Integrate a PACS in the environment extending it's functionality (WADO, C-GET, ...).
- Transcoding generated studies on the fly modifying its transfer-syntax (using JPEG or JPEG2000).
- Provide a DICOM interface for non-DICOM devices.
